Friday, May 15, 2020

RESCHEDULED August 14 & 15

In this 2 full-day workshops, the student will experience Dale Popovich’s unique step by step instruction in transparent watercolor. Teaching as a paint-along will allow the student to watch, go back and recreate what was just painted. He also stresses to his students to ask as many questions as they wish while he is painting. Bring your camera because he lets you snap photos along the way. He feels sharing his knowledge in all ways is the key to excellent learning.

The focus will be on large patterns of light and dark using scenes from nature. There will be very little drawing and more painting. You will understand how to build a painting from start to finish with a focal point. Exploring the beauty of nature while gaining a deeper understanding of the techniques, properties, and tools of this unique medium. Dale will cover all four seasons so you will understand color temperature intensity and most of all values.

During this workshop, you will paint four paintings – two a day. The Class is designed for beginners and intermediates artists. Dale’s personal photo references will be supplied. His objective is to have each student complete their painting and leave with a new level of confidence and ability and understanding transparent watercolor.
