…for future generations
In recent years, the IHA Board of Directors have been raising money and purchasing works of art from the annual Exhibition and Sale to form a Permanent Collection of work by Indiana’s top artists. In some years, the purchases were made in memory of a person who had been a major figure in the Indiana art community.
The collection is also supported by a special fund held by the Brown County Community Foundation. Proceeds from the fund will help protect, conserve, and enlarge the collection over the years. Donors interested in supporting this effort may click on the link below and contribute to this effort.
The paintings themselves are displayed on a rotating basis in the IHA room at the Brown County Art Gallery, but are also available on loan under certain circumstances.
IHA aquisitions to the Permanent Collection for 2011:
"Coffee Urn with Apples" by C.W. Mundy
"Painting the Cosmos" by Fred Doloresco
