Popular Spencer artist, Ken Bucklew was the big winner at the 2010 Indiana Heritage Art Exhibition and Sale at the Brown County Art Gallery in Nashville, Indiana.
Bucklew won the $5,000 IHA Golden Brush award for his painting “Overlook near Freedom”.
The IHA competition is one of the largest and most lucrative in the Midwest. All artists must have a connection with Indiana to enter.
Bucklew was one of 26 prize winners out of over 80 artists and over 120 paintings juried into the show, all competing for $20.000 in prize money and the opportunity to sell their work. The show remains open to the public through Saturday, June 26th. This year’s judge was John Pototschnik of Wylie, Texas who selected 130 paintings from nearly 400 entrants and then selected the prize winners.
